Charity of the Year
Our ‘Charity of the Year’ is an individual charity that we support for a 12 month period.
The Burnaston, Derbyshire, and Deeside, North Wales plants of the Trust are committed to giving back to their local communities. As part of this commitment, the Trust nominates a charity to support each year. The nominated charity is selected based on the results of the Trust's annual fundraising activities, and the chosen charity receives a significant donation early the following year.
The Trust is happy to support any UK-based charity, but it ideally prefers to support charities that spend their funds in the local communities around the Trust's plants. However, this is not a requirement, and the Trust will consider all eligible charities.

Help for Heroes
Our 2026 Nominated Charity.
We are delighted that Help for Heroes has been selected as our Charity of the Year for 2026. Following our fundraising activities last year, we were able to present a cheque for £50,000 earlier this year in March.
At Help for Heroes, they believe every member of the Armed Forces community deserves the chance to live well after service.
Transitioning to civilian life can be tough, so they provide tailored support for physical and mental health, welfare, and social needs — for veterans and their families. They also help civilians who served under UK Command, for example Afghan interpreters.
Since 2007, they have supported over 25,000 people to live well after service.
The Toyota Manufacturing (UK) Charitable Trust are proud to support this much needed charity in their mission to continue to help veterans live well after service

How We Choose a Charity Partner
Charities are chosen each year by canvassing our Members who put forward suggestions for deserving causes for which they have a passion. Some may even have their own moving, personal stories which steers them to a particular cause.
A shortlist is subsequently created from which Members will vote. The charity with the most votes is selected.
In order to reach out to as many worthy charities as possible the Trust has committed to support one Nominated Charity each year.
Please note that charities cannot apply for this opportunity. The selection process is driven by the Trust's members.
