Engine Plant, Deeside, North Wales
The education visit programme at our Deeside Engine Plant in North Wales enables local students to visit the Plant and learn more about the Toyota Production System within a live manufacturing environment.
Real-World Learning - students can see how classroom concepts (STEM) apply in real-world settings and engage with hands-on learning & critical thinking.
Career Exploration - students will see a variety of roles and career paths they might not have considered, helping them to make informed decisions about future education and training.
Soft Skills Development – Toyota actively encourage curiosity, communication and teamwork - vital skills for any young person today.

Inspiring future STEM professionals
This is a fantastic opportunity to visit Toyota’s Engine Plant facility and understand more about how school subjects link to industry. This is aimed at students in Year 9-11.
The visit includes a factory tour and hands-on activities to enhance problem solving and critical thinking.
The age-old notion that ‘children are the future’ has never been more relevant than it is today, especially in the fields of science, technology, engineering and maths.
To that end, Toyota Motor Manufacturing (UK) Ltd recognise the significance of mentors to inspire younger generations to pursue a career in STEM.
TOYOTA Business Improvement Techniques
This is a great opportunity to visit Toyota’s Engine Plant facility and enhance students’ knowledge of High Value Manufacturing and the World-famous Toyota Production System. This is aimed at students in Year 11+.
The visit includes a factory tour and a chance to explore the world of Kaizen, Standardisation & Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) first hand.

How to Find Us
Our factory is located on Zone 3, Deeside Industrial Park, Tenth Avenue, Deeside, Flintshire. If using a sat nav, the following postcode should be used: CH5 2TW. Flint, Shotton and Chester train stations are within a 15 minute drive.
From the M56:
Remain on M56 towards North Wales. Use the left 2 lanes to take the exit towards Flint/Chester/A548. At Deeside Park junction roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Shotwick Rd/A548. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit (signposted Flint). At the next roundabout, take 1st exit onto Tenth Avenue, continue straight on. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit and turn right at the end of the road. Toyota entrance is the first left.
From the A494:
Take the A548 exit towards Flint/Y Fflint, at Deeside Park junction, take the 2nd exit onto Shotwick Road / A548. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Tenth Avenue, continue straight on. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit and turn right at the end. Toyota entrance is the first left.

In addition to our educational visits, we offer exclusive Lean Approach Seminars and Lean Training Courses for businesses.
These programmes are based at our Burnaston, Derbyshire and Deeside facilities and incorporate arranged business visits to both locations.
