Via East Midlands

At Via East Midlands, our Road Safety team is on a mission to equip road users of all ages with the knowledge they need to navigate the streets safely.

From tips for a baby’s first car ride to promoting pedestrian safety for school journeys, addressing occupational road risks, and empowering older individuals with road safety wisdom, we’ve got something for everyone.

Teaming up with Nottinghamshire County Council, we want to make road safety a lifelong skill through education, dynamic training, and impactful awareness campaigns.

Via East Midlands' Road Safety team, in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council, have developed a Free Drive on workshop for residents of Nottinghamshire.

The workshop equips drivers with insights and knowledge into the latest driving regulations, road designs and automotive advancements, aiming to prolong participants confidence and safety in driving for years to come!

The workshop also highlights how age can affect driving and considers the steps participants can implement to ensure that they remain aware and vigilant with any changes they experience as a sign of aging that may affect their driving.  The two hour workshop is interactive, engaging and insightful and contributes to keeping both drivers and the community safe.

At the end of 2024, the Toyota Manufacturing UK Charitable Trust was proud to donate £19,000 to Via East Midlands to help fund the "Drive on Older Driver Programme".
