National Young Rider Forum
The National Young Rider Forum (NYRF) is a group of Road Safety Professionals, joining their expertise to specifically look at Young Motorcyclists. They are the only road safety group that focus on young motorcyclists aged 16 to 24 years and ride powered two wheelers of up to 125cc.
The Forum members bring a wealth of expertise from all corners of Road Casualty reduction and include representatives from Local Authority Road Safety Teams, Safer Road Partnerships, Motorcycle Industries Association (MCIA), Motorcycle Action Group (MAG), Police Forces, Fire & Rescue and the DVSA. Our funding contribution of £11,000 will contribute to providing a one-sto-shop for new and young powered two-wheeler riders in an effort to help them safely navigate life on the road. Information ranges from choosing a motorcycle or the correct PPE to looking after motorcycles but, most importantly, how to stay safe whilst on the roads.
Toyota's contribution enabled NYRF to pay for 5,000 paper copies of a promotional leaflet which they have sent out to key stakeholders who are holding motorcycle events across the country to hand out directly to young riders and use digitally on media screens.
