Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service, have worked with students from Burton & South Derbyshire College, to produce “The Consequence Car” which is used to educate both firefighters and young drivers on the roads in Staffordshire. The vehicle has been designed to highlight the dangers faced by young, new and inexperienced drivers and the consequence of their actions. This will take place during visits to schools, youth clubs and static displays in the town.
The concept was to develop a re-usable road safety resource to allow young people to understand how their driving impacts on others, their families along with other road users and the emergency services.
