Toyota Manufacturing UK Charitable Trust

Since the start of production in 1992, Toyota Manufacturing UK has contributed to a variety of local community causes. Through the social contributions programme, over £7 million has been donated to many local, worthy charities and organisations.

In 2008, the Toyota Manufacturing UK Charitable Trust (reg no 1124678) was established, with the continued aim of supporting local community charitable activity within the Burnaston and Deeside areas.

Aims of the Trust

• To be a good corporate citizen in the local area by making a difference to our communities and engaging members in community activities.

Objectives of the Trust

• To engage our members and encourage their contribution to the community, reward involvement and develop pride in Toyota as a great place to work.
• To make a difference to our local community by making opportunities possible that are not ordinarily available.

The Trust does focus on certain areas, details of which are below,

Road Safety

• To fund projects which aim to improve the safety of roads in our local community, through either preventative or reactive measures.
• Provide support and resources to reduce road collisions and to reduce recovery time at scene.

Social Inclusion/Deprivation

• Encourage people to realise their potential by making opportunities possible that are not ordinarily available.
• To support projects providing opportunities to address inequalities in our society and enabling people to improve their social status.

Health

• Supporting projects aiming to promote knowledge of and research into diseases or medical conditions.
• Funding to support those suffering from medical conditions or illness.
